Hi! I am Rebecca, Owner and Founder of Aquafinz Infant Aquatics ®. I am an aquatics professional with extensive training, specializing in water survival instruction for infants and young children. While my primary focus lies within the age range of 6 months to 6 years old, I have years of experience teaching individuals of all ages across various skill levels.
Growing up on Long Island, allowed me to always be surrounded by water. I began swimming at the age of 2, which aided in early-on discovery of feeling a deep love, respect, and appreciation for the water. Aquafinz Infant Aquatics ® allows me to fulfill my purpose in life, which I believe is to create only a positive impact for children, within their connection to the water.
Following my graduation from the University at Albany, I was able to combine my knowledge of business, education, and decade-long experience within the aquatic industry and competitive swimming history, to create Aquafinz Infant Aquatics ®.
My motivation to continuously expand my knowledge, within the aquatic field, and accomplish new certifications, originated from the unfortunate fact that drowning is the leading cause of death in infants, toddlers and young children.
The well-renowned, powerful and highly accredited Infant Aquatics® program will further attest to my commitment in providing your children with the safest and most rewarding aquatic survival training experience. While some may assume that swimming is an innate skill for humans, it is factually proven to require learning and consistent practice. Recognizing that drowning is the leading cause of death in infants, toddlers, and young children, I continuously expand my knowledge and certifications to bridge this alarming gap in statistics.
Working with me, you'll witness noticeable results within weeks, not years. I am both thrilled and honored to impart this life-saving skill to as many families and children as possible. I firmly believe that, together, we can make a meaningful difference.
I look forward to seeing you in the pool!
Meet Ms. Rachel — our newest instructor making waves this season! 💦
Rachel has always had a passion for working with kids, whether in the classroom or the pool. With her Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta and her current Master’s studies in Educational Technology, she brings a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to teaching and connecting with children.
Before joining our team, Rachel worked as a substitute teacher, giving her experience with kids of all ages and personalities. That experience now carries into the pool, where she creates a calm, positive environment for every swimmer. She’s also been teaching swim lessons for over eight years at camps, homes, and JCCs, helping swimmers of all ages and abilities feel confident, safe, and supported in the water.
She’s known for her patient, upbeat, and caring personality, and we couldn’t think of a better match for our mission. Rachel believes in meeting every child where they’re at and building skills at a pace that honors their unique comfort level. Her goal is to create a space where kids aren’t just learning survival swim techniques. They’re also building confidence and pride in what they can do.
And yes… if the name sounds familiar, it’s because she’s Ms. Becca’s sister. We’re thrilled to have this dynamic duo together, continuing our mission to teach life-saving skills with love, support, and a little bit of magic. ✨
