Please reach us at swim@aquafinz.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We come to you! Access to a pool is needed. Right now, Aquafinz is based out of Long Island. If you live elsewhere, feel free to reach out to us and based on instructor/lifeguard availability & location, we will try and accommodate your location as best as we can.
Regardless if you have a pool or not, there will be one or multiple times in a child/adult life where a pool will be present. Getting your swimmer comfortable in the water at a young age will not only be enjoyable for them but ensure safety and to avoid any dangerous incidents that can occur. Not only is swimming great for enjoyment and safety but it is GREAT exercise.
Just a bathing suit, towel, goggles, water and their smile! Everything else is provided by our trained staff. Not only do they bring their skills, equipment like pool rings & pool noodles, but they bring their excitement and personalized lesson plan.
No, but we strongly encourage it, if possible. The best way to learn, especially when your swimmer is young, is through consistency. The more they swim, the faster they will learn! Is it possible to learn how to swim if you don't swim year-round? ABSOLUTELY! That is where muscle memory kicks in! While Aquafinz does not yet offer indoor swim lessons, it is a plan for our future. We do have incredible recommendations for indoor swim programs and are happy to share those if you are interested! If you do have access to an indoor pool, let us know about it and we can try to arrange for indoor lessons year-round!
You can purchase a swim package at any point throughout the year and it will be on hold for you for the swimming season!
June. You can start swimming after this though!
End of August. You can stop swimming before this though!
Don't worry, they can be utilized next season! All swim packages do not have an expiration date so they can be used at your convenience.

100% it is never too late to learn! We have instructors that are not only skilled to teach a child, but adults too! Regardless of your age, swimming is great for comfort around the pool and exercise as well.
You need access to a pool, yes. At this point, Aquafinz does not offer swim lessons at a facility but plans to do so in the future. Whether it is your pool or a pool of someone you know that is allowing you to swim in their pool, we come to you!
YES!
If you'd like to, yes. However, the best swim lesson is when there are little to no distractions and sometimes it can be hard for the swimmer to focus while their parent/guardian is in the pool. If there is a reason you need to be in the pool with your child, please disclose that to us and we are happy to accommodate.

We strongly discourage this because the difference in swim ability hinders the productivity of the lesson. Most swimmers learn best with 1:1 attention. Swim lessons, while they are very fun, the end goal is to have the swimmer be able to swim independently ASAP. With less distractions and undivided attention, the instructor and swimmer can best accomplish this. Since each lesson is 30 minutes, we want to make those 30 minutes the most effective for everyone involved.
We do not allow floating devices during our scheduled swim lessons. The reason for this is because our instructors are there to teach the swimmer how to navigate around the pool independently while supporting all swimmers that cannot do this yet. Floating devices are good for circumstances outside of swim lessons but the goal is to have all swimmers comfortable where this is no longer needed.
Aquafinz's lifeguards are meant to prevent any accidents and spot potential trouble/hazards before they become life-threatening, and responding to emergencies when needed. They also are encouraging safety in and around the pool.
1-25 guests requires one lifeguard. Interested in having more? Let us know! Anything over 25 guests requires 2 lifeguards.
The more advance notice we have regarding this, the better! However, it is not always predicted how much fun you will be having at your party to always know ahead of time. In the event that the party is going on and you need to extend the hours, it would be based on that particular lifeguard's availability. You will be charged the hourly rate initially quoted to you ($55/hr for 1-25 guests or $50/hr for 25+ guests per lifeguard.) Please call the office if this is needed to ensure proper payment.

6. Floats are limited to 1/2 in a pool for safety. If the lifeguard feels the ones in the pool are not safe, they will be removed
7. One person on the slide and one person on the ladder for slide at a time

10. Anything else the guard needs to enforce while present to ensure safety for all and to prevent all/any aquatic accidents
We encourage all that are interested to take a course in either lifeguarding, CPR, first aid and AED. With that base certification, you can then become a water safety instructor. We will be offering classes that are registered through an aquatics licensing provider and will be published on our website when the time comes! Check back soon for more information!
